Technical Writing and Editing
We performed a top-to-bottom edit on the content of Atricore’s Web site. When they expanded into Brazil we wrote the press release, and here you’ll find an example of one of the event announcements we put together. We also provided the voiceover for this “JOSSO In Action” screencast, and another press release for their partnership with Conduct in Norway. This 106-page software documentation project for Atricore’s JOSSO 2.1 is a great example of our technical editing work. I used Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA 9.0.4.to find my way around in this DocBooks project.
We’ve had some fun coming up with content metadata for open source projects (check out this description for Eclipse 3.4). We’re as irreverent as we can get away with while editing serious techno-articles for Wazi. This one focuses on open source community; and here’s Part One of a three-part series on Internet Law.
Creative, Marketing and Journalism
As a contributing writer at the equestrian magazine Today’s Horse Trader, we’ve had the pleasure of exploring our passion for all things equestrian. Here’s a link to one of our 2011 articles, with much more to be found on the THT website.
We had the great honor of helping out with some behind-the-scenes editing on a Great American Novel, in manuscript, way before it was ever a bestseller. If you haven’t yet read The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, we envy you the pleasure of your first encounter with this fantastic book.
We love writing newsletter articles. These are for Montessori schools, with a target audience of parents and/or teachers.
Speaking of newsletters, in 2009 we edited this one for the New Mexico Press Women.
Give us some work, and you may find a link to your own project!
